Deaths Valley

Though I'm a man
Shadows dwell around me
They consume my thoughts
Because of fear

As I traverse this valley
My focus is on heaven
For there I find relief
So I shed not tears

Evil is disguised
By love the lack of truth
Death surrounds me
Trying to grab hold

I refuse its grip
For thy staff and rod
protect
I shall not succomb
To its lingering touch

For my comfort comes
In knowing my soul
Will not be condemned
To the valley of death
